乌兰察布职业学院是经内蒙古自治区人民政府批准、国家教育部备案的公办全日制普通高等职业院校，是国家级技能人才培训基地、自治区示范性高职院校、自治区优质高职院校及自治区“双高”校建设单位。学院前身为始建于1957年的乌盟财贸粮食学校、乌盟农牧学校和1979年的乌盟工业学校，2004年合并升格为高等职业院校，目前是乌兰察布市唯一一所综合性职业院校。

Ulanqab Vocational College is a public full-time higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and registered with the Ministry of Education. It serves as a national skill talent training base, an autonomous region-level demonstration higher vocational college, an autonomous region-level high-quality vocational college, and a construction unit for the autonomous region's "Double High-Level" colleges. Its predecessors were Wumeng Finance and Trade Grain School (founded 1957), Wumeng Agriculture and Animal Husbandry School (founded 1957), and Wumeng Industrial School (founded 1979), which merged and upgraded to a higher vocational college in 2004. Currently, it is the only comprehensive vocational college in Ulanqab City.

学院下设机电技术系、计算机信息工程系等11个教学机构，开设大数据与会计、畜牧兽医、马铃薯生产加工等35个专业，其中7个专业获评自治区品牌专业，马铃薯生产加工专业为全国高校特色专业。现有教职工550人，专任教师366人，教授28人，副教授113人，“双师型”教师占比52.2%。校园总占地1188亩，拥有100个教学实习实训场地，固定资产近9亿元，形成“立足乌兰察布、服务区域经济”的办学定位。

The college has 11 teaching units including the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Technology and the Department of Computer Information Engineering, offering 35 majors such as Big Data and Accounting, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, and Potato Production and Processing. Among these, 7 majors have been rated as autonomous region-level brand majors, with Potato Production and Processing being a unique specialty among national colleges. The college has 550 faculty members, including 366 full-time teachers, 28 professors, 113 associate professors, and "double-qualified" teachers accounting for 52.2%. The campus covers a total area of 1,188 mu (79.2 hectares) with 100 teaching and training sites, and fixed assets of nearly 900 million yuan, adhering to the school-running orientation of "based in Ulanqab, serving regional economy".

学院秉持“立德树人、崇能重技”校训，聚焦高素质技术技能人才培养，与200多家企业建立校企合作关系，毕业生一次性就业率连续多年保持95%以上，累计为区域经济社会发展培养6万余名专业人才，形成“产教融合、校企合作”的鲜明办学特色。

Adhering to the school motto of "Establish Morality, Respect Skills", the college focuses on cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents. It has established school-enterprise cooperation with over 200 enterprises, with the one-time employment rate of graduates remaining above 95% for many years. It has trained more than 60,000 professionals for regional economic and social development, forming distinct school-running characteristics of "integration of production and education, school-enterprise cooperation".
