武汉职业技术大学是湖北省第一所公办职业本科学校，其前身是武汉职业技术学院，最早办学历史可追溯至1972年。2025年2月，教育部批准以武汉职业技术学院为基础设立武汉职业技术大学，隶属湖北省教育厅主管，是一所全日制公办本科层次职业大学，为国家示范性高职院校、国家优质专科高等职业院校、国家“双高计划”高水平专业群（A档）建设单位。

Wuhan Technical University is the first public vocational undergraduate school in Hubei Province. Its predecessor was Wuhan Polytechnic, with a办学 history dating back to 1972. In February 2025, the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of Wuhan Technical University based on Wuhan Polytechnic. It is under the supervision of the Hubei Provincial Department of Education, a full-time public undergraduate vocational university, and a national demonstration higher vocational college, a national high-quality junior college vocational college, and a construction unit of the national "Double High Plan" high-level professional group (Grade A).

学校现有光谷校区、光谷东校区、麻城校区三个校区，校园占地面积2067亩，固定资产总值16.33亿元，教科研设备总值3.03亿元，馆藏图书254万册。下设13个二级学院（部），开设职业本科专业6个、高职专业58个，有专任教师1071人，全日制在校生16561人。建校以来累计培养高素质技术技能人才近30万名，毕业生就业率长期稳定在96%以上。

The university currently has three campuses: Optics Valley Campus, Optics Valley East Campus, and Macheng Campus, covering an area of 2067 mu. The total value of fixed assets is 1.633 billion yuan, the total value of teaching and research equipment is 303 million yuan, and the collection of books is 2.54 million volumes. It has 13 secondary colleges (departments), offering 6 vocational undergraduate majors and 58 higher vocational majors, with 1,071 full-time teachers and 16,561 full-time students. Since its establishment, it has cultivated nearly 300,000 high-quality technical and skilled talents, and the employment rate of graduates has remained stable at over 96% for a long time.
