无锡学院是一所经教育部批准，由江苏省人民政府管理、无锡市人民政府举办、南京信息工程大学支持办学的公办普通本科高校，其前身为创建于2002年5月的南京信息工程大学滨江学院。学校坚持社会主义办学方向，秉承立足无锡、融入产业、面向区域、服务发展的办学定位，构建了无锡学院、研究生联合培养基地、国家大学科技园三位一体的办学体系。

Wuxi University is a public ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education, managed by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province, sponsored by the People's Government of Wuxi City, and supported by Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology. Its predecessor was Binjiang College of Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, founded in May 2002. Adhering to the socialist orientation in running schools, the university has established a trinity school-running system consisting of Wuxi University, a joint graduate training base, and a national university science and technology park, with the orientation of being rooted in Wuxi, integrating into industries, facing the region, and serving development.

学校位于无锡市锡山大道333号，毗邻锡东新城核心区、无锡高铁东站、苏南硕放国际机场，地理位置优越，风景优美。校园占地面积1770余亩，是一所现代化的智慧校园、生态校园、人文校园和低碳校园，荣获江苏省绿色学校、江苏省智慧校园等荣誉称号。学校是江苏省硕士学位授予立项建设单位，现有在校本科生1.3万余人、留学生100余人、与南京信息工程大学联合培养研究生400余人。

The university is located at 333 Xishan Avenue, Wuxi City, adjacent to the core area of Xidong New Town, Wuxi High-speed Railway East Station, and Sunan Shuofang International Airport, enjoying a superior geographical location and beautiful scenery. Covering an area of more than 1,770 mu, the campus is a modern smart campus, ecological campus, humanistic campus, and low-carbon campus, having been awarded titles such as Jiangsu Provincial Green School and Jiangsu Provincial Smart Campus. It is a project-construction unit for granting master's degrees in Jiangsu Province, with over 13,000 undergraduates, more than 100 international students, and over 400 postgraduates jointly trained with Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology.

学校契合地方经济社会发展需求，设有17个教学单位，6个硕士点（与南信大联合培养），47个本科专业，覆盖理、工、文、管、经、法、艺等七大学科门类。获批2个国家级一流专业建设点，11个省级一流专业建设点、4个省级产教融合型品牌专业建设点等；4个学科入选江苏省十四五重点学科。学校高度重视师资队伍建设，现有教职工1000余人，专任教师中高级职称教师占比30.2%，博士化率为77.2%，拥有国家级人才、省333高层次人才等高层次人才100余人次。

Meeting the needs of local economic and social development, the university has 17 teaching units, 6 master's programs (jointly trained with Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology), and 47 undergraduate majors, covering seven disciplines including science, engineering, literature, management, economics, law, and art. It has been approved for 2 national first-class professional construction sites, 11 provincial first-class professional construction sites, 4 provincial industry-education integration brand professional construction sites, etc.; 4 disciplines have been selected into the key disciplines of Jiangsu Province during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Attaching great importance to the construction of the teaching staff, the university has more than 1,000 faculty members, with 30.2% of full-time teachers having senior professional titles and a doctoral degree rate of 77.2%, and more than 100 person-times of high-level talents such as national-level talents and provincial 333 high-level talents.

学校坚持以人才培养为中心，不断深化教育教学改革，荣获国家级教学成果奖二等奖2项，省教学成果奖特等奖、二等奖3项；近三年，学生在挑战杯、互联网+等国家级和省级创新创业及学科竞赛中获奖近1000项。本科生高质量就业率保持在95%以上，考研升学率稳居同类院校前列，众多优秀学子被国内外著名高校录取。

Adhering to talent cultivation as the center, the university has continuously deepened education and teaching reform, winning 2 second prizes of national teaching achievement awards and 3 provincial teaching achievement awards (including 1 special prize and 2 second prizes). In the past three years, students have won nearly 1,000 awards in national and provincial innovation and entrepreneurship competitions and discipline competitions such as the "Challenge Cup" and "Internet Plus". The high-quality employment rate of undergraduates has remained above 95%, and the postgraduate entrance examination rate has remained at the forefront of similar institutions. Many outstanding students have been admitted to famous universities at home and abroad.
