温州商学院是浙南闽北赣东唯一一所商科类本科院校，坐落于永嘉学派发源地、中国民营经济先行地——温州。学校南依“玄门圣山”大罗山，北邻“浙南威尼斯”三垟湿地，距机场和动车站均仅半小时车程。校园环境优美、设施一流，央视热播剧《温州三家人》等剧组曾来校取景拍戏。

Wenzhou Business College is the only undergraduate institution specializing in business in southern Zhejiang, northern Fujian, and eastern Jiangxi. It is located in Wenzhou, the birthplace of the Yongjia School and a pioneer of China's private economy. The campus is nestled between the "sacred Xuantian Mountain" (Daluo Mountain) to the south and the "Southern Zhejiang Venice" (Sanyang Wetland) to the north, with a half-hour drive to both the airport and railway station. Boasting a beautiful environment and first-class facilities, it has served as a filming location for popular CCTV dramas like "Wenzhou Family 3".

学校肇始于1999年创办的温州大学信息科学与工程学院、经济学院。2005年合并成立独立学院——温州大学城市学院，著名数学家、中科院院士谷超豪亲笔题写校名，著名天体物理学家、中科院院士孙义燧担任名誉院长。2016年，经教育部批准，学校成为浙江省第一所由独立学院成功转设的全日制民办普通本科高校，并更名为温州商学院。中国社科院学部委员、国家金融与发展实验室理事长、中国社科院原副院长李扬教授担任校长。

The university traces its roots to the School of Information Science & Engineering and the School of Economics of Wenzhou University, founded in 1999. In 2005, these two schools merged to form Wenzhou University City College, an independent college. The renowned mathematician and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Gu Chaohao, inscribed the school name, while celebrated astrophysicist and CAS academician Sun Yisui served as honorary dean. In 2016, approved by the Ministry of Education, it became the first full-time private undergraduate university in Zhejiang Province to successfully transition from an independent college, officially renamed Wenzhou Business College. Professor Li Yang, a member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), director of the National Finance and Development Laboratory, and former vice president of CASS, serves as the president.

学校下设金融贸易学院、管理学院、国际学院、传媒与设计艺术学院、信息工程学院、城市学院等，共有27个本科专业和10个专科专业，以经济学、管理学为主干，文学、艺术学、工学等多学科协调发展。现有在校生近20000人，教职工1100余人，其中高级职称教师近450人，硕博士学位教师占比超过95%。2023年9月，学校顺利通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估，获批列入浙江省新增硕士学位授予立项建设单位。

The university comprises schools such as the School of Finance and Trade, School of Management, School of International Education, School of Media and Design Arts, School of Information Engineering, and School of Urban Studies. It offers 27 undergraduate programs and 10 junior college programs, with economics and management as the main disciplines, complemented by coordinated development in literature, art, engineering, and other fields. Currently, it has nearly 20,000 students and over 1,100 faculty members, including nearly 450 with senior professional titles and over 95% holding master's or doctoral degrees. In September 2023, the university successfully passed the Ministry of Education's undergraduate teaching qualification assessment and was approved as a project construction unit for新增 master's degree authorization in Zhejiang Province.

学校坚持“商行天下·梦筑校园”的创业教育特色和“善行天下·爱满校园”的爱心教育特色，建有国家级众创空间、创业经营决策仿真实验室“温商梦工厂”，被列为国家级创业教育人才培养模式创新试验区。创业教育改革实践被中国教育电视台等媒体誉为“大学生创业教育的‘温商院样板’”。近四年在武书连中国民办大学排行榜中，连续保持中国一流民办大学首位和择校顺序第一。

The university adheres to the educational philosophy of "Business Across the Globe·Dreams Built on Campus" for entrepreneurship education and "Kindness Across the Globe·Love Fills the Campus" for charity education. It houses a national-level makerspace and a simulated entrepreneurship decision-making laboratory called "Wenzhou Business Dream Factory," designated as a national experimental zone for innovative entrepreneurship talent cultivation models. Its entrepreneurship education reforms have been hailed by media outlets like China Education Television as the "Wenzhou Business College Model" for university entrepreneurship education. For four consecutive years, it has ranked first in both the "Top Private Universities in China" and "College Choice Preference" categories in the Wu Shulian Private University Rankings.
