温州理工学院(简称温理工,英文简称:WZUT)是由温州市人民政府兴办的一所本科层次公办普通高等学校。学校坐落于中国民营经济的先发地区与改革开放的前沿阵地、素有东南山水甲天下之美誉的温州市,法定住所地为温州经济技术开发区金海三道337号,占地面积901.8亩,基础建设已投资24.2亿元,校舍面积40.9万平方米。2023年11月7日,学校与乐清市人民政府合作共建的温州理工学院乐清校区开工奠基,校区总占地578.8亩,规划总建筑面积32.1万平方米,计划于2026年6月建成投用。
Wenzhou Institute of Technology (WZUT for short) is a public ordinary higher education institution at the undergraduate level founded by the Wenzhou Municipal People's Government. Located in Wenzhou, a pioneering area for China's private economy and a frontier of reform and opening up, known as "the best mountains and rivers in the southeast", the university's legal address is No. 337, Jinhai 3rd Road, Wenzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering an area of 901.8 mu. The infrastructure investment has reached 2.42 billion yuan, with a school building area of 409,000 square meters. On November 7, 2023, the university broke ground for the Yueqing Campus in cooperation with the Yueqing Municipal People's Government, which covers a total area of 578.8 mu with a planned total construction area of 321,000 square meters, scheduled to be completed and put into use in June 2026.
学校下设经济与管理学院、法学院、马克思主义学院、文学与传媒学院、数据科学与人工智能学院、机器人工程学院、电子与电气工程学院、建筑与能源工程学院、设计艺术学院、外国语学院(国际教育学院)、创新创业学院、继续教育学院、公共体育部等14个教学机构,涵盖工学、理学、经济学、管理学、文学、法学、艺术学等7大学科门类的36个本科专业,面向全国17个省市招生,现有全日制普通本科在校9499人。学校着力做强工科,做精理科,做特文科,以工办文、文为工用,构建电子信息等3个主干学科、电子电气与控制工程等5个后备主干学科、法学等N个支撑学科的3+5+N学科专业体系,聚焦人工智能、智能制造、智能建造、现代服务等领域,建设支撑领引温州产业发展的优势特色学科群。智能科学与技术、土木工程2个学科获评浙江省十四五一流学科(B类)。
The university has 14 teaching institutions including the School of Economics and Management, School of Law, School of Marxism, School of Literature and Media, School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, School of Robotics Engineering, School of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, School of Architecture and Energy Engineering, School of Design and Art, School of Foreign Languages (International Education College), School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, School of Continuing Education, and Department of Public Physical Education. It offers 36 undergraduate programs covering 7 disciplines: engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law, and art, enrolling students from 17 provinces and cities across the country, with 9,499 full-time undergraduate students. The university strives to strengthen engineering, refine science, and develop distinctive liberal arts, adopting the approach of "developing liberal arts with engineering and applying liberal arts for engineering". It has constructed a "3+5+N" discipline system consisting of 3 key disciplines (e.g., electronic information), 5 reserve key disciplines (e.g., electronic, electrical and control engineering), and N supporting disciplines (e.g., law). Focusing on artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, intelligent construction, and modern services, it builds advantageous and characteristic discipline clusters supporting and leading Wenzhou's industrial development. Two disciplines, Intelligent Science and Technology and Civil Engineering, were awarded the "14th Five-Year" First-Class Disciplines (Category B) in Zhejiang Province.
