西安翻译学院创建于1987年，位于风景秀丽的终南山北麓、历史文化名镇太乙宫，是教育部批准设立的全日制省属民办普通本科高校。2005年升格为本科高校，2013年通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估，2019年被评为全国创新创业典型经验高校，是陕西省一流学院建设单位及教育部一流专业、一流课程建设点院校。

Founded in 1987 and located at the northern foot of the scenic Zhongnan Mountain in Taiyi Palace, a famous historical and cultural town, Xi'an FanYi University is a full-time provincial private ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. It was upgraded to an undergraduate university in 2005, passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education in 2013, was rated as a National Model University for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in 2019, and is a first-class college construction unit in Shaanxi Province and a university with first-class professional and course construction sites of the Ministry of Education.

学校形成以文为主、外语为特色、多学科协调发展的专业布局，开设39个本科专业，涵盖文、经、管、工、教、艺、医7大学科门类，设有英、日、德、法、俄、朝鲜、西班牙7个外语语种，是西部地区开设外语语种最多的民办本科高校。现有国家一流专业建设点3个，省一流专业建设点11个，省综合改革试点专业、特色专业9个。

The university has formed a professional layout focusing on liberal arts, featuring foreign languages, and developing multi-disciplines in a coordinated manner. It offers 39 undergraduate majors covering 7 disciplines including arts, economics, management, engineering, education, art, and medicine, with 7 foreign languages including English, Japanese, German, French, Russian, Korean, and Spanish. It is the private undergraduate university with the most foreign languages offered in western China. Currently, it has 3 national first-class professional construction sites, 11 provincial first-class professional construction sites, and 9 provincial comprehensive reform pilot majors and characteristic majors.

学校办学条件优良，占地面积131.15万㎡，校舍建筑面积54.60万㎡，教学科研仪器设备总值23476.71万元。图书馆馆藏中外文纸质图书242.86万册、电子图书271.90万册。现有全日制在校生21224人，教师1268人，专任教师中硕博士学位教师占比89.35%，高级职称教师占比30.09%。

The university has excellent running conditions, covering an area of 1,311,500 square meters, with a school building area of 546,000 square meters and a total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment of 234.7671 million yuan. The library has 2.4286 million Chinese and foreign paper books and 2.7190 million e-books. There are 21,224 full-time students and 1,268 teachers, with 89.35% of full-time teachers holding master's or doctoral degrees and 30.09% holding senioles.

学校坚持以本科教育教学为中心，深化教育教学改革，强化外语特色，构建多元化应用型人才培养模式。先后与200多家企事业单位签订合作协议，近三年获批国家一流课程3门、陕西省一流课程19门，学生获奖1426项，其中国家级奖301项。学校积极推进国际交流与合作，与19个国家的61所高校及机构建立友好合作关系，是西北地区唯一开设AP、CMA考点的民办高校。

Adhering to undergraduate education and teaching as the center, the university deepens education and teaching reform, strengthens foreign language characteristics, and builds a diversified applied talent training model. It has signed cooperation agreements with more than 200 enterprises and institutions. In the past three years, it has been approved 3 national first-class courses and 19 Shaanxi provincial first-class courses, with students winning 1,426 awards, including 301 national awards. The university actively promotes international exchanges and cooperation, has established friendly cooperative relations with 61 universities and institutions in 19 countries, and is the only private university in northwest China with AP and CMA examination centers.
