西华大学是四川省属重点综合性大学，是国家中西部高校基础能力建设工程重点支持高校、教育部本科教学工作水平评估优秀高校、四川省首批深化创新创业教育改革示范高校。学校始建于1960年，时名四川农业机械学院，2003年由原四川工业学院与原成都师范高等专科学校合并组建西华大学，2008年四川经济管理干部学院整体并入。

Xihua University is a key comprehensive university in Sichuan Province. It is a key supported university under the National Basic Ability Construction Project for Western and Central China's Colleges and Universities, an excellent university in the undergraduate teaching level evaluation by the Ministry of Education, and one of the first demonstration universities in Sichuan Province to deepen innovation and entrepreneurship education reform. Founded in 1960 as Sichuan Agricultural Machinery College, it was restructured in 2003 by merging the former Sichuan Institute of Technology and the former Chengdu Teachers College, and incorporated the Sichuan Institute of Economic Management in 2008.

学校现有郫都、宜宾、彭州三个校区，校园总面积近4000亩。学科专业以工为主，工、理、管、法、经、艺、文、教、农等多学科协调发展，现有21个学院，89个本科专业，拥有2个国家重点实验室培育基地，1个国家地方联合工程研究中心，3个国家级实验教学示范中心，1个国家级虚拟仿真实验教学中心，1个国家级工程实践教育中心。

The university has three campuses in Pidu, Yibin, and Pengzhou, covering a total area of nearly 4,000 mu. Its disciplines and majors are engineering-oriented, with coordinated development of multiple disciplines including engineering, science, management, law, economics, arts, literature, education, and agriculture. It currently has 21 colleges and 89 undergraduate majors, with 2 national key laboratory cultivation bases, 1 national-local joint engineering research center, 3 national experimental teaching demonstration centers, 1 national virtual simulation experimental teaching center, and 1 national engineering practice education center.

学校始终坚持以立德树人为根本任务，着力培养高素质应用型人才，现有全日制在校学生4.5万余人，其中研究生5000余人。近年来，学校荣获国家教学成果奖、四川省教学成果奖等多项奖励，学生在全国大学生“挑战杯”、数学建模、机器人、电子设计等竞赛中屡获佳绩。

Adhering to the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, the university focuses on cultivating high-quality applied talents. It currently has over 45,000 full-time students, including more than 5,000 postgraduates. In recent years, the university has won many awards such as the National Teaching Achievement Award and Sichuan Provincial Teaching Achievement Award, and its students have achieved excellent results in national competitions such as the "Challenge Cup" for college students, mathematical modeling, robotics, and electronic design.
