西安电子科技大学是中国共产党亲手创办的第一所工程技术学校，其前身是1931年诞生于江西瑞金的中央军委无线电学校，历经中央军委通信学校、华北军区电讯工程专科学校等发展阶段，1958年迁址西安，1988年定名西安电子科技大学。学校是国家“双一流”建设高校，直属教育部，是一所以信息与电子学科为主，工、理、管、文、经等多学科协调发展的全国重点大学，在电子信息领域享有盛誉，为国家培养了大批优秀人才，在国防现代化建设和国民经济发展中发挥着重要作用。

Xidian University is the first engineering and technical school founded by the Communist Party of China. Its predecessor was the Central Military Commission Radio School born in Ruijin, Jiangxi in 1931. It has gone through the development stages of the Central Military Commission Communication School and the North China Military Region Telecommunication Engineering College. It moved to Xi'an in 1958 and was named Xidian University in 1988.
