新疆交通职业技术大学是由新疆维吾尔自治区人民政府举办、教育部批准成立的自治区唯一一所面向交通运输全行业，专业类别覆盖交通运输全领域的公办高等职业院校。学校创建于1953年，历经多次更名与合并，2025年2月21日升格为职业本科院校，首批设置道路与桥梁工程、汽车服务工程技术等4个职业本科专业，同年招收本科生300名。学校先后荣获交通运输部职业教育示范院校、国家优质专科高等职业院校等称号，2025年入选国家第二期“双高计划”高水平专业群建设单位。

Xinjiang Vocational and Technical University of Communications is a public higher vocational college established by the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and approved by the Ministry of Education. It is the only institution in the region dedicated to the entire transportation industry, covering all fields of transportation with its专业设置. Founded in 1953, the university underwent multiple name changes and mergers before being upgraded to a vocational undergraduate institution on February 21, 2025. It initially offered 4 undergraduate programs including Road and Bridge Engineering and Automotive Service Engineering Technology, enrolling 300 undergraduates in the same year. The university has been honored as a Model Vocational Education Institution by the Ministry of Transport and a National High-Quality Vocational College, and was selected into the second phase of the National "Double High-Level Plan" for high-level professional group construction in 2025.

学校校园占地1000余亩，建筑面积30余万平方米，图书100余万册，现有学生近万人，专任教师500余人。依托“242”八大专业群体系，开设道路与桥梁工程技术、智能交通技术等35个高职专业，与314家企业共建7个产业学院，累计培养交通运输类技术技能人才超10万名，占新疆交通运输行业技术人才的70%以上，被誉为“新疆交通运输人才的摇篮”。

Covering an area of over 1,000 mu with a building area of more than 300,000 square meters, the university houses a library of over 1 million books, serving nearly 10,000 students with more than 500 full-time teachers. Based on its "242" eight major professional group system, it offers 35 vocational programs such as Road and Bridge Engineering Technology and Intelligent Transportation Technology. The university has established 7 industry colleges in collaboration with 314 enterprises,培养 over 100,000 technical talents for the transportation sector, accounting for more than 70% of technical professionals in Xinjiang's transportation industry, and is renowned as the "Cradle of Transportation Talents in Xinjiang".
