新疆农业职业技术大学是一所公办本科层次职业学校。学校前身是创建于1958年的昌吉州合作干部学校，2000年升格为新疆农业职业技术学院。2024年6月，教育部批准以新疆农业职业技术学院为基础设立新疆农业职业技术大学，学校成为新疆首所公办本科层次职业学校。

Xinjiang Agricultural Vocational and Technical University is a public undergraduate-level vocational school. Its predecessor was Changji Prefecture Cooperative Cadre School founded in 1958. In 2000, it was upgraded to Xinjiang Agricultural Vocational and Technical College. In June 2024, the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of Xinjiang Agricultural Vocational and Technical University based on Xinjiang Agricultural Vocational and Technical College, making it the first public undergraduate-level vocational school in Xinjiang.

学校是全国首批国家示范性高等职业院校建设单位，2019年被认定为优质专科高等职业院校，2021年入选全国乡村振兴人才培养优质校。设有昌吉和乌鲁木齐两个校区，占地面积6000余亩，开设50余个本专科专业，现有在校生16000余名，专任教师880余人。

The university is one of the first national demonstration higher vocational college construction units in China. In 2019, it was recognized as a high-quality junior college vocational college, and in 2021, it was selected as a national high-quality school for rural revitalization talent training. It has two campuses in Changji and Urumqi, covering an area of more than 6,000 mu, offering more than 50 undergraduate and junior college programs, with over 16,000 students and more than 880 full-time teachers.
