厦门软件职业技术学院是经福建省人民政府批准、教育部备案、面向全国高考统招、具有独立建制的全日制高等院校，由国有企业厦门建发集团核心成员联发集团举办。学校于2002年8月筹建，2006年3月正式建校，2013年4月转为事业单位，2016年9月由联发集团接手举办，累计投入12亿元用于基础建设与专业建设。

Xiamen Institute of Software Technology is a full-time higher education institution approved by the Fujian Provincial People's Government, registered with the Ministry of Education, and enrolling students nationwide through college entrance examinations. It is sponsored by Lianfa Group, a core member of Xiamen C&D Group, a state-owned enterprise. The college was founded in August 2002, officially established in March 2006, converted to a public institution in April 2013, and taken over by Lianfa Group in September 2016, with a cumulative investment of 1.2 billion yuan in infrastructure and professional development.

学校坐落于厦门集美文教区大学城，占地面积650亩，规划建筑面积46万平方米，依山伴海，交通便捷。设有软件工程学院、数字创意学院、经济管理学院3个二级学院，构建软件技术、人工智能、数字媒体等6个专业群，常年招生专业约30个，全日制学生超15000人，专任教师761人，硕士及以上学位教师占比48%，高级职称教师占比18.03%。

Located in the university town of Jimei Education Zone in Xiamen, the college covers an area of 650 mu with a planned construction area of 460,000 square meters, nestled between mountains and the sea with convenient transportation. It has 3 secondary colleges: School of Software Engineering, School of Digital Creativity, and School of Economics and Management, offering 6 professional clusters including Software Technology and Artificial Intelligence, with about 30 regular enrollment majors. The college has over 15,000 full-time students and 761 full-time teachers, with 48% holding master's degrees or above and 18.03% having senior professional titles.

学校秉持“产教融合、对接产业”办学理念，近年来获评省级高水平专业群1个、国家规划教材5本、省级教育教学成果奖5项，学生在世界职业院校技能大赛等赛事中屡获佳绩。先后荣获福建省文明学校、厦门市5A级平安校园等荣誉称号，是福建省软件适用人才重点培训基地。

Adhering to the educational philosophy of "integration of industry and education, alignment with industry needs", the college has recently been awarded 1 provincial high-level professional cluster, 5 national planning textbooks, and 5 provincial educational teaching achievement awards. Students have achieved excellent results in competitions such as the World Vocational College Skills Competition. It has successively won honors including "Civilized School of Fujian Province" and "Xiamen 5A-level Safe Campus", and is a key training base for software talents in Fujian Province.
