西双版纳职业技术学院是一所经云南省人民政府批准、教育部备案的公办高等职业院校，其前身为始建于1936年的省立佛海简易师范学校。2001年7月，由原西双版纳州民族师范学校、西双版纳广播电视大学、西双版纳教育学院三校合并组建而成。学校立足西双版纳，面向东南亚，秉持“励志、厚德、强能、精业”的校训，以培养应用型、技能型人才为目标，形成了鲜明的办学特色。

Xishuangbanna Vocational and Technical College is a public vocational college approved by the Yunnan Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was the Provincial Fohai Junior Normal School founded in 1936. In July 2001, it was established by merging the former Xishuangbanna Prefecture Ethnic Normal School, Xishuangbanna Radio and Television University, and Xishuangbanna College of Education. Based in Xishuangbanna and facing Southeast Asia, the college adheres to the school motto of "Aspiration, Virtue, Ability, and Dedication", aiming to cultivate applied and skilled talents, forming distinct school-running characteristics.

学校重点发展旅游管理、应用泰语、艺术设计等特色专业，其中应用泰语专业为省级特色专业，《泰语口语》《泰语语音》等课程被评为省级精品课程。校园环境优美，教学设施完善，拥有现代化教学楼、实验室及实训基地，并与国内外多所高校开展合作办学，积极推进国际化人才培养。

The college focuses on developing characteristic majors such as Tourism Management, Applied Thai, and Art Design. Among them, Applied Thai is a provincial-level characteristic major, and courses like "Thai Oral English" and "Thai Phonetics" have been rated as provincial-level excellent courses. The campus has a beautiful environment and complete teaching facilities, including modern teaching buildings, laboratories, and training bases. It also carries out cooperative education with many domestic and foreign universities, actively promoting international talent cultivation.
