湘西民族职业技术学院是2004年经湖南省人民政府批准、教育部备案成立的湘西自治州唯一一所公办高等职业院校，由原湘西州农业学校等八所州本级中职学校合并组建而成，迄今有60多年办学历史。学院位于湖南省湘西土家族苗族自治州高新技术产业开发区，占地面积1100亩，建筑面积33万平方米，办学条件达到教育部人才培养水平评估优秀标准。现有教职工750余人、全日制学生1.5万余人，其中高级以上职称教师占25.7%，硕士研究生以上学历教师占32.3%，双师型教师占81.7%。

Xiangxi Vocational and Technical College for Nationalities is the only public higher vocational college in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, approved by the Hunan Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education in 2004. It was formed by the merger of eight state-level secondary vocational schools including the former Xiangxi Prefectural Agricultural School, with a history of over 60 years. Located in the High-tech Industrial Development Zone of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan Province, the college covers an area of 1,100 mu (about 733,333 square meters) with a building area of 330,000 square meters. Its educational conditions meet the excellent standards of the Ministry of Education's talent training evaluation. The college has more than 750 faculty members and over 15,000 full-time students, among whom 25.7% have senior professional titles, 32.3% hold master's degrees or above, and 81.7% are "double-qualified" teachers (with both academic and professional qualifications).

学院以建设省内一流、全国知名的现代化新职院为目标，构建了旅游管理、生态农业技术、数字化设计与制造3个高水平专业群，形成了以非遗传承为特色、生态文化旅游为主导、农业产业为基础、新型工业和现代服务业为支撑的专业办学体系。拥有国家级专业建设项目8个、省级专业建设项目20个，是湖南省"双高"建设单位，其生态农业技术专业群和旅游管理专业群被立项为湖南省楚怡高水平高职专业群建设单位A档。学院牵头成立湘西现代职教集团，与120多家企业建立合作关系，订单培养率超20%，毕业生初次就业率达90%以上，为区域经济社会发展培养了大批技术技能人才。

Aiming to build a first-class modern vocational college in Hunan Province and well-known nationwide, the college has established three high-level professional groups: Tourism Management, Ecological Agriculture Technology, and Digital Design and Manufacturing. It has formed a professional education system featuring intangible cultural heritage inheritance, led by eco-cultural tourism, based on agricultural industry, and supported by new industries and modern service industries. The college boasts 8 national-level and 20 provincial-level professional construction projects, and is a "Double High-Level" construction unit in Hunan Province. Its Ecological Agriculture Technology and Tourism Management professional groups have been rated as Grade A units for the construction of Hunan Chuyi High-Level Vocational Professional Groups. Leading the Xiangxi Modern Vocational Education Group, the college has established cooperative relationships with over 120 enterprises, with an order-based training rate exceeding 20%. The initial employment rate of graduates is over 90%, cultivating a large number of technical and skilled talents for regional economic and social development.
