信阳农林学院是一所农林特色鲜明的公办全日制应用型普通本科学校，坐落在中国著名茶都、红色历史名城信阳市。信阳市地处河南省南部，东邻安徽、南接湖北，楚风豫韵交汇交融，素有“北国江南，江南北国”之美誉。独特的地理区位、优美的自然环境、深厚的文化底蕴，为莘莘学子学习深造提供了优越自然条件。学校前身为信阳农业高等专科学校，办学历史可追溯到1910年创办的汝宁府中等实业学堂，2013年经教育部批准，升格为信阳农林学院。

Xinyang College of Agriculture and Forestry is a public full-time application-oriented ordinary undergraduate school with distinct agricultural and forestry characteristics, located in Xinyang City, a famous tea capital and red historical city in China. Situated in the southern part of Henan Province, Xinyang borders Anhui to the east and Hubei to the south, where Chu and Yu cultures blend, known as "the south of the north and the north of the south".
