扬州职业技术大学是经教育部批准成立的全日制公办本科层次职业院校，是教育部高职高专人才培养工作水平评估优秀院校、国家发改委“十四五”教育强国推进工程储备院校、江苏省中国特色高水平高职学校。学校办学历史可追溯至1906年的高邮师范传习所，2025年6月正式升格为职业本科院校，成为扬州市首所本科层次职业技术大学。

Yangzhou Polytechnic University is a full-time public undergraduate vocational college approved by the Ministry of Education. It is an excellent institution in the talent training evaluation of higher vocational colleges by the Ministry of Education, a reserve institution for the "14th Five-Year Plan" Education Power Promotion Project of the National Development and Reform Commission, and a high-level vocational school with Chinese characteristics in Jiangsu Province. The school's educational history can be traced back to the Gaoyou Normal Training Institute founded in 1906, and was officially upgraded to an undergraduate vocational college in June 2025, becoming the first undergraduate-level vocational and technical university in Yangzhou.

学校现有瘦西湖和高邮湖两个校区，总占地1415.17亩，校舍建筑面积55.88万平方米，教职工1276人，专任教师近1000人，其中具有博士和硕士学位的教师790人，正高级专任教师79人，副高级专任教师347人。开设16个专业大类62个专业，首批设置机械设计制造及自动化、机械电子工程技术等5个职业本科专业，在校生1.5万余人，累计培养技术技能人才超30万名。

The university has two campuses: Slender West Lake and Gaoyou Lake, covering a total area of 1415.17 mu with a building area of 558,800 square meters. It has 1,276 faculty members, nearly 1,000 full-time teachers, including 790 teachers with doctoral and master's degrees, 79 full professors, and 347 associate professors. The university offers 62 majors in 16 professional categories, with the first batch of 5 vocational undergraduate majors including Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation, and Mechatronic Engineering Technology. It has over 15,000 students and has cultivated more than 300,000 technical and skilled talents.

学校深化产教融合、校企合作，与比亚迪、晶澳科技、华为等知名企业共建产业学院，推行“订单班”培养模式，构建“双师三能”校企混编教学团队，形成“仿境奠基-情境淬炼-实境赋能”的阶梯式技能培养体系。建有国家级众创空间、教育部协同创新中心等10余个省部级以上科研平台，2023年授权发明专利59项，位居全国高职院校第19位，在2025年中国国际大学生创新大赛中斩获4项金奖。

The university deepens industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, jointly establishing industrial colleges with well-known enterprises such as BYD, JA Solar, and Huawei, implementing the "order class" training model, and building a "double-qualified and three-capable" mixed teaching team of school and enterprise. It has formed a stepped skill training system of "simulated environment foundation - situational training - real environment empowerment". The university has built more than 10 provincial-level and above scientific research platforms such as national makerspaces and Ministry of Education collaborative innovation centers. In 2023, it was granted 59 invention patents, ranking 19th among national vocational colleges, and won 4 gold medals in the 2025 China International College Student Innovation Competition.
