仰恩大学由爱国华侨吴庆星先生及其家族设立的仰恩基金会于1987年创办，是新中国第一所具有颁发国家本科学历证书和授予学士学位资格的民办大学。学校位于福建省泉州市，校园占地2000余亩，依山傍水，环境秀丽。2008年以良好成绩通过教育部本科教学工作水平评估，成为福建省第一所通过此项评估的民办高校，先后荣获“中国侨联爱国主义教育基地”“国防教育特色学校”等近80项国家和省市级荣誉称号。

Yang-En University was founded in 1987 by the Yang-En Foundation established by patriotic overseas Chinese Mr. Wu Qingxing and his family. It is the first private university in New China qualified to issue national undergraduate diplomas and confer bachelor's degrees. Located in Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, the university covers an area of over 2,000 mu with a beautiful campus surrounded by mountains and water. In 2008, it passed the undergraduate teaching level evaluation by the Ministry of Education with good results, becoming the first private university in Fujian Province to pass this evaluation. It has won nearly 80 national, provincial and municipal honorary titles such as "Patriotic Education Base of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese" and "National Defense Education Characteristic School".

学校现有10个学院、3个直属系部，开设25个本科专业，涵盖经济学、管理学、文学、法学、工学、教育学六大学科门类。坚持应用型办学定位，深化产教融合与创新创业教育改革，拥有3个省级应用型学科、5个省级一流本科专业，建成7个省级实验教学示范中心和近百家校企合作实习实训基地，构建了“成人+成才”的素质拓展与创新教育体系，近五年学生获国家级和省市级学科竞赛奖项774项，授权国家专利439项。

The university currently has 10 colleges, 3 directly affiliated departments, and offers 25 undergraduate majors covering six disciplines: economics, management, literature, law, engineering, and education. Adhering to the application-oriented school-running orientation, it deepens industry-education integration and innovation and entrepreneurship education reform. It has 3 provincial-level applied disciplines, 5 provincial-level first-class undergraduate majors, 7 provincial-level experimental teaching demonstration centers, and nearly 100 school-enterprise cooperation internship and training bases. It has built a quality development and innovative education system of "cultivating adults + fostering talents". In the past five years, students have won 774 national, provincial and municipal discipline competition awards and obtained 439 national patents.

秉承“学会做人，守信笃行；学会做事，创业有成”的校训，学校以社会主义核心价值观引领校园文化建设，形成了兵学文化育人、经典舞台剧创作等特色品牌，微电影作品《到》《信仰》获全国大学生艺术展一等奖，校园文化建设成果多次获福建省高校优秀成果奖。目前，学校正朝着建设有特色高水平应用型民办大学的目标稳步迈进。

Adhering to the school motto of "Learn to be a person, keep faith and practice earnestly; Learn to do things, achieve success in entrepreneurship", the university leads the construction of campus culture with socialist core values, forming characteristic brands such as military culture education and classic stage play creation. Its micro-film works "Dao" and "Faith" won the first prize in the National College Students Art Exhibition, and its campus cultural construction achievements have repeatedly won excellent achievement awards in Fujian Province's universities. Currently, the university is steadily moving towards the goal of building a distinctive and high-level application-oriented private university.
