云南农业职业技术学院是经云南省人民政府批准、国家教育部备案的全日制公办普通高等学校，前身为始建于1904年的云南蚕桑学堂，2002年由原云南省农业学校和云南省畜牧兽医学校合并组建。学校以高原特色现代农业专业为优势和特色，集农业、食品药品、大健康、工程、经济管理、电子信息等多专业融合发展，是国家优质专科高等职业院校、全国乡村振兴人才培养优质校。学校分设茭菱、小哨、安宁三个校区，占地面积1010亩，下设5个二级学院和3个公共教学部门，现有教职工357人，正高职称22人，副高职称96人，硕士以上学历151人，教学科研仪器设备值3222万元，馆藏图书38万余册，在校学生6000余人。

Yunnan Vocational College of Agriculture is a full-time public higher vocational college approved by the Yunnan Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was Yunnan Sericulture School founded in 1904, and it was established in 2002 by merging the former Yunnan Agricultural School and Yunnan Animal Husbandry and Veterinary School. With advantageous and characteristic majors in plateau-featured modern agriculture, the college integrates multiple disciplines including agriculture, food and medicine, big health, engineering, economic management, and electronic information. It is a national high-quality vocational college and a national high-quality school for rural revitalization talent training. The college has three campuses (Jiaoling, Xiaoshao, and Anning) covering an area of 1010 mu, with 5 secondary colleges and 3 public teaching departments. It has 357 faculty members, including 22 with senior professional titles, 96 with associate senior titles, and 151 with master's degrees or above. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 32.22 million yuan, the library has more than 380,000 books, and there are over 6,000 students.

学校始终坚持“以农为本、服务三农”的办学理念，探索形成“全真全程”人才培养模式，构建了覆盖现代农业全产业链的专业体系，开设47个高职专业，其中畜牧兽医为省级重点建设专业，园艺技术、园林技术、作物生产技术为省级特色专业。近年来毕业生年终就业率保持在98%以上，连续多年荣获云南省高校毕业生就业创业工作目标责任考核一等奖，是云南省现代农业技术培训基地、农民创业试点培训机构，建有中国-缅甸农业技术培训中心等国际交流平台，为云南高原特色农业发展和乡村振兴提供了有力的人才支撑和技术服务。

Adhering to the educational philosophy of "agriculture-oriented and serving agriculture, rural areas and farmers", the college has developed a unique "whole-process authentic" talent training model and built a professional system covering the entire industrial chain of modern agriculture. It offers 47 higher vocational majors, among which Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine is a provincial key construction major, and Horticultural Technology, Garden Technology, and Crop Production Technology are provincial characteristic majors. In recent years, the annual employment rate of graduates has remained above 98%, and the college has won the first prize in the target responsibility assessment of employment and entrepreneurship work for college graduates in Yunnan Province for many consecutive years. It is a modern agricultural technology training base and a pilot training institution for farmers' entrepreneurship in Yunnan Province, and has established international exchange platforms such as the China-Myanmar Agricultural Technology Training Center, providing strong talent support and technical services for the development of Yunnan's plateau-featured agriculture and rural revitalization.
