烟台大学是山东省属重点综合性大学，位于烟台市莱山区，创建于1984年7月，由北京大学、清华大学共同援建。学校以“守信、求实、好学、力行”为校训，坚持“特色立校、人才强校、学术兴校、依法治校”的办学理念，形成了本科教育、研究生教育、留学生教育和继续教育等多层次、多类型的办学格局。

Yantai University is a key comprehensive university in Shandong Province, located in Laishan District, Yantai City. Founded in July 1984, it was co-aided by Peking University and Tsinghua University. With the school motto of "Being Trustworthy, Practical, Diligent in Learning and Persistent in Practice", the university adheres to the school-running philosophy of "Establishing the University with Characteristics, Strengthening the University with Talents, Promoting the University with Academics, and Running the University According to Law", forming a multi-level and multi-type school-running pattern including undergraduate education, graduate education, international student education and continuing education.

学校学科门类齐全，涵盖文、理、工、法、农、医、经、管、教、艺等10个学科门类，拥有6个省级重点学科，1个服务国家特殊需求博士人才培养项目，22个一级学科硕士学位授权点，11个硕士专业学位授权类别。学校现有全日制在校本科生、研究生、留学生3万余人，教职工2100余人，其中专任教师1400余人，具有博士学位的教师占比达65%以上。

The university has a complete range of disciplines, covering 10 disciplines including literature, science, engineering, law, agriculture, medicine, economics, management, education and art. It has 6 provincial key disciplines, 1 doctoral talent training program for serving national special needs, 22 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, and 11 master's professional degree authorization categories. Currently, there are more than 30,000 full-time undergraduates, postgraduates and international students, and more than 2,100 faculty members, including more than 1,400 full-time teachers, with over 65% of them having doctoral degrees.

学校注重科研创新和社会服务，建有国家级实验教学示范中心、国家级虚拟仿真实验教学中心、国家级工程技术研究中心等多个国家级科研平台，承担了国家“973计划”“863计划”、国家自然科学基金、国家社会科学基金等国家级科研项目300余项。学校积极开展国际交流与合作，与30多个国家和地区的150余所高校建立了友好合作关系，常年聘请外籍专家和教师来校任教，为学生提供了广阔的国际交流平台。

The university attaches importance to scientific research innovation and social services. It has built many national-level scientific research platforms such as the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, the National Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center, and the National Engineering Technology Research Center. It has undertaken more than 300 national-level scientific research projects such as the National "973 Program", "863 Program", National Natural Science Foundation of China, and National Social Science Foundation of China. The university actively carries out international exchanges and cooperation, has established friendly cooperative relations with more than 150 universities in more than 30 countries and regions, and regularly employs foreign experts and teachers to teach, providing students with a broad international exchange platform.
