浙江警察学院是浙江省唯一一所培养公安专门人才的本科院校，前身为创建于1949年5月的浙江省公安干部学校，历经浙江公安学校、浙江人民警察学校、浙江公安高等专科学校等发展阶段，2007年升格为本科院校并更名为浙江警察学院。学校坚持“政治建校、从严治校、特色立校、质量强校”的办学方针，以培养“对党忠诚、服务人民、执法公正、纪律严明”的高素质应用型公安人才为目标，在公安教育、警务实践和社会服务中发挥着重要作用。

Zhejiang Police College is the only undergraduate institution in Zhejiang Province that cultivates specialized public security talents. Its predecessor was the Zhejiang Provincial Public Security Cadre School founded in May 1949. It has gone through development stages such as Zhejiang Public Security School, Zhejiang People's Police School, and Zhejiang Public Security College. In 2007, it was upgraded to an undergraduate institution and renamed Zhejiang Police College. Adhering to the school-running policy of "building the school with politics, governing the school strictly, establishing the school with characteristics, and strengthening the school with quality", the university aims to cultivate high-quality applied public security talents who are "loyal to the Party, serve the people, enforce the law impartially, and be strict in discipline", and plays an important role in public security education, police practice and social services.

学校现有滨江和临安两个校区，总占地面积861亩，校舍建筑面积24万余平方米。设有治安学、侦查学、刑事科学技术、交通管理工程、网络安全与执法等10个本科专业，形成了以公安学、公安技术为主体，法学、工学等多学科协调发展的学科专业体系。拥有一支结构合理、业务精湛、富有活力的师资队伍，其中具有高级职称的教师占比达40%以上，双师型教师占专业教师总数的70%以上，为人才培养提供了坚实保障。

The university currently has two campuses, Binjiang and Lin'an, covering a total area of 861 mu with a building area of more than 240,000 square meters. It offers 10 undergraduate majors including Public Security Studies, Investigation Studies, Criminal Science and Technology, Traffic Management Engineering, Cybersecurity and Law Enforcement, forming a disciplinary and professional system with public security studies and public security technology as the main body, and coordinated development of multiple disciplines such as law and engineering. It has a well-structured, professional and dynamic teaching staff, among which teachers with senior professional titles account for more than 40%, and double-qualified teachers account for more than 70% of the total number of professional teachers, providing a solid guarantee for talent training.

作为浙江省公安人才培养的主阵地，学校注重理论与实践相结合，构建了“教、学、练、战”一体化人才培养模式，与公安机关共建实践教学基地，强化学生警务技能训练和实战能力培养。近年来，学校毕业生就业率始终保持在95%以上，大部分毕业生进入公安、司法等政法系统，成为维护社会稳定和治安秩序的骨干力量，为浙江乃至全国的公安事业发展作出了积极贡献。

As the main position for cultivating public security talents in Zhejiang Province, the university pays attention to the combination of theory and practice, constructs an integrated talent training model of "teaching, learning, practicing and fighting", co-builds practical teaching bases with public security organs, and strengthens students' police skills training and practical ability cultivation. In recent years, the employment rate of graduates has remained above 95%, and most of the graduates have entered the political and legal systems such as public security and justice, becoming the backbone force in maintaining social stability and public order, and making positive contributions to the development of public security undertakings in Zhejiang and even the whole country.
