浙江海洋大学是一所以海洋为特色，理学、农学、工学、管理学、经济学、文学、历史学、教育学等多学科协调发展的省属重点建设高校。学校坐落于国家级新区——浙江舟山群岛新区，现有定海和新城两个校区，校园环境优美，设施完善。学校创建于1958年，历经舟山师范专科学校、浙江水产学院等发展阶段，2016年更名为浙江海洋大学。

Zhejiang Ocean University is a key provincial university with marine characteristics, featuring coordinated development of multiple disciplines such as science, agriculture, engineering, management, economics, literature, history, and education. Located in the national-level new area - Zhejiang Zhoushan Archipelago New Area, the university has two campuses: Dinghai and Xincheng, with a beautiful campus environment and complete facilities. Founded in 1958, the university has gone through stages of development such as Zhoushan Normal College and Zhejiang Fisheries College, and was renamed Zhejiang Ocean University in 2016.

学校坚持以立德树人为根本任务，致力于培养具有海洋情怀、创新精神和实践能力的高素质人才。现有全日制在校生2万余人，教职工1500余人，其中高级职称人员500余人，拥有一批国家级、省级人才和教学团队。学校设有10个学院，开设48个本科专业，拥有5个一级学科硕士点、20个二级学科硕士点，以及3个专业学位硕士点。

Currently, there are more than 20,000 full-time students and over 1,500 faculty members, including more than 500 with senior professional titles, and a number of national and provincial talents and teaching teams. The university has 10 colleges, offering 48 undergraduate majors, 5 first-level discipline master's programs, 20 second-level discipline master's programs, and 3 professional degree master's programs.

在科学研究方面，学校聚焦海洋经济发展需求，建有多个国家级、省级科研平台，如国家海洋设施养殖工程技术研究中心、浙江省海洋生物资源与环境重点实验室等。近年来，学校承担了一批国家级、省部级科研项目，取得了多项重要科研成果，为我国海洋事业发展和地方经济社会进步做出了积极贡献。

In terms of scientific research, the university focuses on the needs of marine economic development and has built a number of national and provincial scientific research platforms, such as the National Engineering Research Center for Marine Aquaculture Facilities and the Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Marine Biological Resources and Environment. In recent years, the university has undertaken a number of national and provincial scientific research projects, achieved many important scientific research results, and made positive contributions to the development of China's marine cause and local economic and social progress.

学校积极开展国际交流与合作，与20多个国家和地区的50多所高校建立了友好合作关系，开展了学生交换、联合培养、科研合作等多种形式的交流活动。同时，学校注重校地、校企合作，与地方政府、企业共建了一批产学研合作基地，推动科技成果转化和应用，服务地方经济发展。
