浙江体育职业技术学院于2006年7月经浙江省人民政府批准正式建校，由省体育局主管、省教育厅指导，是以竞技体育类专业为特色的省属全日制高职院校。学院秉承“育人创佳绩”的办学宗旨，践行“明德、睿智、尚勇”校训，构建“训学融合”育人模式，致力于培养全面发展的一流竞技体育人才。

Zhejiang Vocational and Technical College of Sports was officially established in July 2006 with the approval of the People's Government of Zhejiang Province. Affiliated to the Zhejiang Provincial Bureau of Sports and guided by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education, it is a provincial full-time vocational college featuring competitive sports-related majors. Adhering to the educational philosophy of "Cultivating Talents and Achieving Excellence" and the school motto of "Virtue, Wisdom, and Courage", the college has built a "training-education integration" talent development model, dedicated to cultivating top-tier competitive sports talents with all-round development.

学院设有萧山、教工路两个校区，总占地面积约706.5亩，建筑面积约34.24万平方米。开设运动训练、社会体育、体育运营与管理等7个高职专业，其中运动训练专业为省高校“十三五”优势专业，社会体育、体育保健与康复等3个专业为省高校“十三五”特色专业。

The college has two campuses (Xiaoshan and Jiaogong Road) covering a total area of approximately 706.5 mu (about 471,000 square meters) with a building area of around 342,400 square meters. It offers 7 higher vocational majors including Sports Training, Social Sports, and Sports Operation and Management. Among them, Sports Training is listed as a "13th Five-Year" Advantageous Major of Zhejiang provincial colleges, while Social Sports, Sports Health Care and Rehabilitation are recognized as "13th Five-Year" Characteristic Majors of Zhejiang provincial colleges.

学院拥有国家级教练24名、高级教练73名，建有国家体育总局水上运动科学重点实验室等科研平台，近五年高职毕业生就业率保持在95%以上，培养了大批奥运冠军、世界冠军等优秀竞技体育人才，为浙江体育事业发展作出重要贡献。

The college boasts 24 national-level coaches and 73 senior coaches, and has established scientific research platforms such as the Key Laboratory of Aquatic Sports Science of the General Administration of Sport of China. With a graduate employment rate exceeding 95% in the past five years, it has cultivated numerous outstanding competitive sports talents including Olympic champions and world champions, making significant contributions to the development of Zhejiang's sports industry.
