浙江万里学院是一所具有74年办学历史的省属普通本科高校，经历过浙江农业大学宁波分校、浙江农村技术师范专科学校等办学阶段。2004年，与英国诺丁汉大学联合创办了全国第一所中外合作大学——宁波诺丁汉大学；2005年，以优良成绩通过教育部本科教学工作水平评估；2011年，获批硕士专业学位研究生教育试点单位，并成为试点单位联盟理事长单位；2015年，成为浙江省应用型建设试点示范学校；2017年，成为全国深化创新创业教育改革示范高校；2018年，在德国汉堡设立浙江万里学院海外校区；2021年，成为硕士学位授予单位；2022年，升格大学纳入浙江省十四五高等学校设置规划、学校获批成为博士学位授予立项建设单位。

Zhejiang Wanli University is a provincial public undergraduate university with a 74-year history, having gone through stages such as the Ningbo Branch of Zhejiang Agricultural University and Zhejiang Rural Technical Teachers College. In 2004, it co-founded the first Sino-foreign cooperative university in China, the University of Nottingham Ningbo China, with the University of Nottingham, UK. In 2005, it passed the undergraduate teaching level evaluation by the Ministry of Education with excellent results. In 2011, it was approved as a pilot unit for professional master's degree education and became the chairman unit of the pilot unit alliance. In 2015, it became a pilot demonstration school for applied construction in Zhejiang Province. In 2017, it became a national demonstration university for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform. In 2018, it established an overseas campus in Hamburg, Germany. In 2021, it became a master's degree-granting unit. In 2022, its升格 to university was included in Zhejiang's 14th Five-Year Plan for higher education institution setting, and it was approved as a doctoral degree-granting project construction unit.

学校地处宁波，建筑面积65万平方米，设钱湖、回龙、宁海、高新、海外等校区。校园风景优美，教学设施完善，获省级文明校园、平安校园、绿色学校、治安安全示范单位等荣誉称号。创新办学24年来，学校已经成为一所文、经、管、法、艺、理、工、农、医多学科协调发展的应用型大学。现有商学院、物流与电子商务学院、法学院等13个二级学院，56个招生专业，3个硕士专业学位授予点，2万多名全日制在校本科生、研究生、留学生。

Located in Ningbo, the university has a construction area of 650,000 square meters, with campuses including Qianhu, Huilong, Ninghai, Gaoxin, and overseas. The campus is beautiful with complete teaching facilities and has won honors such as provincial civilized campus, safe campus, green school, and public security safety demonstration unit. Over the 24 years of innovative school-running, it has developed into an application-oriented university with coordinated development of multiple disciplines including arts, economics, management, law, art, science, engineering, agriculture, and medicine. It currently has 13 secondary colleges such as the Business School, School of Logistics and E-Commerce, and Law School, 56 enrollment majors, 3 master's professional degree authorization points, and more than 20,000 full-time undergraduates, postgraduates, and international students.

学校现有教职工1500余名，拥有高级职称教师近600名，包括中国工程院院士（双聘）、俄罗斯国家工程院和自然科学院两院院士等顶尖人才；拥有国家级教学团队、农业部产业技术体系岗位科学家团队；涌现出全国模范教师、全国优秀教师等先进典型。学校拥有国家级一流本科专业建设点11个，国家特色专业4个，省级一流专业建设点10个；近5年，在《Science》《Nature》上发表论文4篇，获省部级科研成果奖33项。

The university has over 1,500 faculty members, nearly 600 with senior professional titles, including top talents such as academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (double-employed), and academicians of both the Russian Academy of Engineering and the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. It has national teaching teams and岗位 scientist teams of the Ministry of Agriculture's industrial technology system, and has emerged as advanced models such as national model teachers and national excellent teachers. The university has 11 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 4 national characteristic majors, and 10 provincial first-class major construction sites. In the past 5 years, it has published 4 papers in 《Science》 and 《Nature》 and won 33 provincial and ministerial-level scientific research achievement awards.

学校注重对外交流合作，营造浓厚国际化氛围。2023年，经教育部批准与德国品牌应用科学大学合作设立浙江万里学院德国品牌应用科学大学联合学院，采用4+0培养模式，颁发中德两校双学位。学校恪守“以生为本、以师立校、面向市场、国际接轨”的办学理念，弘扬“只要有1%的希望就要尽100%的努力”的万里精神和“自强不息、恒志笃行”的校训传统，以特色鲜明高水平应用型大学建设为目标。

The university emphasizes international exchanges and cooperation, creating a strong international atmosphere. In 2023, approved by the Ministry of Education, it cooperated with Brand University of Applied Sciences Germany to establish the Zhejiang Wanli University - Brand University of Applied Sciences Germany Joint College, adopting a 4+0 training model and awarding double degrees from both Chinese and German universities. The university adheres to the school-running philosophy of "student-oriented, teacher-based, market-oriented, and international integration", promotes the Wanli spirit of "doing 100% effort as long as there is 1% hope" and the school motto tradition of "self-improvement and persistent dedication", aiming to build a distinctive high-level application-oriented university.
