Zunyi Medical University is a key provincial university with a red gene and distinct characteristics, formerly known as Kanto Medical College founded in 1947. After several name changes and developments, the university was renamed Zunyi Medical University in 2016 and has now become a higher medical institution with medicine as the main discipline and coordinated development of multiple disciplines. Adhering to the school motto of "Virtue, Diligence, Practice and Truth-seeking", the university persists in the fundamental task of cultivating virtue and nurturing people, and has trained a large number of high-quality medical and health talents for the country and local areas.

学校拥有多个校区，主校区位于贵州省遵义市，校园环境优美，教学设施先进。设有28个教学院系、5所直属附属医院，开设40余个本科专业，涵盖医学、理学、工学、文学、管理学等多个学科门类。其中临床医学、药理学与毒理学等学科进入ESI全球前1%，彰显了学校较强的学科实力和科研水平。

The university has multiple campuses, with the main campus located in Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, featuring a beautiful campus environment and advanced teaching facilities. It has 28 teaching departments, 5 directly affiliated hospitals, and offers more than 40 undergraduate majors, covering multiple disciplines such as medicine, science, engineering, literature, and management. Among them, clinical medicine, pharmacology and toxicology have entered the top 1% of ESI globally, demonstrating the university's strong disciplinary strength and scientific research level.
