The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) is a comprehensive higher education institution under the League of Arab States, founded in 1972 with its headquarters in Alexandria, Egypt, and branch campuses in Cairo, Aswan, Port Said, and Latakia (Syria). Established as a regional maritime academy funded by the United Nations International Maritime Organization (IMO), the academy specializes in education and research in science, technology, maritime engineering, and management, offering degree programs from undergraduate to doctoral levels, with its maritime programs enjoying high reputation in international maritime education.
