重庆工程职业技术学院是由重庆市人民政府举办、重庆市教育委员会主管的全日制普通高等职业学校。学校始建于1951年，2001年升格为高等职业院校，2010年获批国家示范性高等职业院校建设单位，2019年成为中国特色高水平高职学校和专业建设计划建设单位，2024年首轮国家“双高计划”终期绩效评价获“优”等结论。

Chongqing Engineering Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public higher vocational college sponsored by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government and administered by the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission. Founded in 1951, it was upgraded to a higher vocational college in 2001, approved as a national model higher vocational college construction unit in 2010, became a construction unit of China's high-level vocational schools and professional construction plan in 2019, and obtained an "Excellent" conclusion in the final performance evaluation of the first round of the national "Double-High Plan" in 2024.

学校以“砺苦谨信、惟精弘毅”为校训，形成以装备制造和电子信息类专业为主体，以测绘地理信息和安全类专业为特色，土木建筑、财经商贸和文化艺术类专业协调发展的专业布局。现有12个二级教学院部，开设55个专业，拥有中国特色高水平专业群1个、国家级示范专业4个、国家级骨干专业6个，全日制专科在校生近16000人。

With the school motto of "Diligence, Prudence, Sincerity, Excellence and Perseverance", the college has formed a professional layout with equipment manufacturing and electronic information majors as the main body, surveying and mapping geographic information and safety majors as characteristics, and coordinated development of civil engineering, finance and economics, commerce, and culture and art majors. It has 12 secondary teaching colleges and departments, offering 55 majors, including 1 national-level high-level professional group, 4 national demonstration majors, and 6 national key majors, with nearly 16,000 full-time college students.
