重庆化工职业学院于2010年4月由重庆市人民政府批准成立，经教育部备案设立，是重庆市教育委员会主管的公办全日制普通高职（专科）学校。学校设有长寿校区与江北校区，其中长寿校区坐落于重庆市长寿区菩提东路2009号，江北校区位于重庆市江北区嘉陵四村100号。

Chongqing Chemical Industry Vocational College was approved by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government in April 2010 and registered with the Ministry of Education. It is a public full-time ordinary higher vocational (junior college) school under the administration of the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission. The college has two campuses: Changshou Campus located at No. 2009, Puti East Road, Changshou District, Chongqing, and Jiangbei Campus located at No. 100, Jialing Sicun, Jiangbei District, Chongqing.

学校设有化学工程学院、环境与质量检测学院、制药工程学院等9个二级学院，以及继续教育学院。2025年面向全国21个省（自治区、直辖市）招生，现有在校学生近1.5万人，毕业生就业率位居全市高职院校前列。凡具有学校正式学籍的学生，在规定年限内达到所读专业毕业要求者，颁发重庆化工职业学院专科毕业证书。

The college has 9 secondary colleges including the College of Chemical Engineering, the College of Environmental and Quality Inspection, the College of Pharmaceutical Engineering, and a College of Continuing Education. In 2025, it enrolls students from 21 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) across the country, with nearly 15,000 students currently enrolled. The employment rate of graduates ranks among the top in higher vocational colleges in Chongqing. Students with official school status who meet the graduation requirements of their major within the specified period will be awarded a junior college diploma from Chongqing Chemical Industry Vocational College.
