重庆应用技术职业学院是经重庆市人民政府批准、教育部审定备案，由重庆市教育委员会主管的全日制普通高等职业学校，学校代码13968。其前身是1946年在中共中央南方局周恩来等同志支持下创办的社会大学，历经重庆社会大学、重庆民生职业技术学院等发展阶段，2014年更为现名。学校位于重庆市合川区大学园区思源路60号，规划用地500亩，已建成面积218亩，校舍面积11万平方米，是重庆市“平安校园”。

Chongqing Vocational College of Applied Technology is a full-time ordinary higher vocational school approved by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, verified and filed by the Ministry of Education, and administered by the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, with the school code 13968. Its predecessor was the Social University founded in 1946 with the support of Comrade Zhou Enlai and others from the Southern Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. It has gone through development stages such as Chongqing Social University and Chongqing Minsheng Vocational and Technical College, and was renamed to its current name in 2014. The school is located at No. 60, Siyuan Road, University Park, Hechuan District, Chongqing, with a planned land area of 500 mu, a completed area of 218 mu, and a school building area of 110,000 square meters. It is a "Safe Campus" in Chongqing.

学校紧密围绕地方经济社会发展需求，设置教育学院、健康产业学院、互联信息学院等7个二级教学单位，开设高职专业31个，形成学前教育、大健康服务与管理、智能制造等4个主干专业群。现有教职工500余人，全日制在校生9300余人，建有7个校内实训中心及135个校外实习实训基地，汽车电子技术专业为重庆市职业教育创新行动计划市级骨干专业。

Closely following the needs of local economic and social development, the school has set up 7 secondary teaching units including the School of Education, School of Health Industry, and School of Internet Information, offering 31 higher vocational majors, forming 4 main professional groups such as preschool education, health service and management, and intelligent manufacturing. There are more than 500 faculty members and over 9,300 full-time students. It has built 7 on-campus training centers and 135 off-campus internship and training bases. The major of Automotive Electronic Technology is a municipal key major in Chongqing's vocational education innovation action plan.
