檀国大学（Dankook University）创办于1947年11月3日，是韩国光复后成立的第一所私立大学，以“救国、自主、自立”为创校精神，源于檀君“弘益人间”的理念。经过半个多世纪的发展，已成为拥有竹田（京畿道龙仁市）和天安（忠清南道天安市）两个校区的综合性大学，全韩综合大学排名第五，艺术类综合排名第一。

Dankook University, founded on November 3, 1947, is the first private university established after South Korea's liberation. Its founding spirit of "Saving the Nation, Independence, and Self-Reliance" originates from Dangun's philosophy of "Benefiting Humanity". After over half a century of development, it has grown into a comprehensive university with two campuses in Jukjeon (Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do) and Cheonan (Cheonan-si, Chungcheongnam-do), ranking 5th among all comprehensive universities in South Korea and 1st in the comprehensive ranking of art universities.

学校设有23个学院、109个本科专业及13个研究生院，在校生近3万人。竹田校区侧重CT、IT及艺术领域，拥有电影专门研究院和移动系统工学系；天安校区以BT生物技术为特色，涵盖生物科学、医学、牙科等领域。知名专业包括影视表演、金融会计、国际贸易、多媒体软件等，其中东方学研究尤为突出，《汉韩大辞典》（15册，50万辞目）被誉为世界规模最大的汉学工具书。

The university has 23 colleges, 109 undergraduate majors, and 13 graduate schools, with nearly 30,000 students. The Jukjeon Campus focuses on CT, IT, and art fields, housing the Graduate School of Film and the Department of Mobile Systems Engineering; the Cheonan Campus specializes in BT biotechnology, covering biosciences, medicine, dentistry, etc. Notable majors include film and television performance, financial accounting, international trade, and multimedia software. Oriental studies research is particularly prominent, with the "Han-Korean Dictionary" (15 volumes, 500,000 entries) recognized as the world's largest-scale sinology reference work.

檀国大学重视国际教育，设立语言学院为留学生提供韩国语及文化课程，与全球14个国家的33所大学建立合作关系。校园设施完善，拥有20余个研究所及附属综合医院，在产学合作、创业教育领域荣获“领先大学”称号，培养了众多艺术、学术及商界人才。

Dankook University emphasizes international education, establishing a language institute to provide Korean language and cultural courses for international students, and has established partnerships with 33 universities in 14 countries worldwide. The campus facilities are well-equipped, with over 20 research institutes and an affiliated general hospital. It has been awarded the title of "Leading University" in industry-academia cooperation and entrepreneurship education, cultivating numerous talents in art, academia, and business.
