广东工程职业技术学院是省属公办高职院校，创办于1958年，前身为广东省成人科技大学，2005年转制为高职院校，是一所以工科专业为特色，文、经、管、艺等专业综合发展的高职院校。学校是广东省域高水平高职院校建设单位、广东省示范性高等职业院校、国家级示范性职业教育集团（联盟）培育单位、教育部首批现代学徒制试点院校，全国首批1+X证书制度试点院校。

Guangdong Engineering Polytechnic is a public higher vocational college directly under the province. Founded in 1958, its predecessor was Guangdong Adult University of Science and Technology. It was transformed into a higher vocational college in 2005. It is a higher vocational college featuring engineering majors with comprehensive development of arts, economics, management, and art majors. The school is a construction unit of Guangdong Provincial High-level Higher Vocational Colleges, a Demonstrative Higher Vocational College in Guangdong Province, a national demonstration vocational education group (alliance) cultivation unit, one of the first modern apprenticeship pilot colleges of the Ministry of Education, and one of the first national 1+X certificate system pilot colleges.

学校现有广州天河、省职教城（清远）两校区，占地总面积65.6万平方米，建筑面积45.24万平方米；开设工科类为主的专业56个，其中国家骨干专业1个，教育部现代学徒制试点专业5个，省级高水平专业群3个；拥有国家级教师创新团队1个，全国技术能手1人，双师素质教师占比86%。近年来学生获国家级、省级职业技能竞赛奖项400多项，毕业生就业率与企业满意度均保持高位。

The school currently has two campuses: Guangzhou Tianhe and Provincial Vocational Education City (Qingyuan), covering a total area of 656,000 square meters with a building area of 452,400 square meters. It offers 56 majors mainly in engineering, including 1 national key major, 5 modern apprenticeship pilot majors of the Ministry of Education, and 3 provincial high-level professional groups. It has 1 national-level teacher innovation team, 1 national technical expert, and 86% of the teachers with double-qualified qualities. In recent years, students have won more than 400 national and provincial vocational skills competition awards, and the employment rate of graduates and enterprise satisfaction have remained high.
