广西水利电力职业技术学院坐落于中国绿城、广西壮族自治区首府南宁市，隶属于自治区水利厅，是一所以水利电力等工科专业为主、经济管理等文科专业为辅的公办全日制高等职业学校。学校秉承“上善若水，自强不息”的校训，立足广西，服务东盟，面向全国，努力办好国内领先、人民满意的高等职业教育。学校始建于1956年，原名南宁水利学校；1970年更名为广西水电学校；2002年升格为广西水利电力职业技术学院。2016年确立为国家示范性（骨干）高职院校，2022年通过广西双高计划建设验收并获优秀等次，2023年入选广西新一轮高水平高职学校和专业建设A类学校，2025年入选国家双高计划立项建设单位。

Guangxi Vocational and Technical College of Water Resources and Electric Power is located in Nanning, the capital city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, known as the "Green City of China". Affiliated to the Department of Water Resources of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, it is a public full-time higher vocational school focusing on engineering majors such as water conservancy and electric power, supplemented by liberal arts majors like economics and management. Adhering to the school motto of "The highest virtue is like water; constantly strive for self-improvement", the college is rooted in Guangxi, serves ASEAN, and faces the whole country, striving to run a leading and people-satisfying higher vocational education in China. Founded in 1956 as Nanning Water Conservancy School, it was renamed Guangxi Water and Power School in 1970 and upgraded to its current name in 2002. In 2016, it was designated as a National Demonstrative (Backbone) Higher Vocational College. In 2022, it successfully passed the acceptance of Guangxi Double-High Program construction with an excellent grade. In 2023, it was selected as a Class A school in Guangxi's new round of high-level vocational schools and professional construction, and in 2025, it was included in the national Double-High Program construction unit.

学校分为长堽、里建、良庆三个校区，现有11个二级学院，开设57个专科专业，其中国家重点专业4个、骨干专业3个，建成以水利水电建筑工程、电力系统自动化等广西高水平专业为主体的专业集群。拥有国家级生产性实训基地2个、自治区级职业教育示范性实训基地13个，打造了一支德技双馨的“双师型”教师队伍，其中国家教师教学创新团队1个、国家课程思政教学团队1个。近五年获国家职业教育教学成果奖2项，学生在各类竞赛中获国家级奖项407项，毕业生去向落实率始终保持在广西高校前列。学校积极服务“一带一路”倡议，牵头组建中国—东盟能源职业教育联盟，建设海外办学项目和基地6个，培训东盟国家技能人才近5000人次。

The college has three campuses: Changgang, Lijian and Liangqing. It currently has 11 secondary colleges offering 57 specialized majors, including 4 national key majors and 3 backbone majors, forming a professional cluster centered on Guangxi's high-level majors such as Water Conservancy and Hydropower Construction Engineering and Power System Automation. It boasts 2 national productive training bases and 13 autonomous region-level vocational education demonstration training bases, and has built a high-level "double-qualified" teaching team with both moral integrity and professional skills, including 1 national teacher teaching innovation team and 1 national curriculum ideological and political teaching team. In the past five years, it has won 2 national vocational education teaching achievement awards and students have obtained 407 national awards in various competitions. The employment rate of graduates has always remained at the forefront of colleges and universities in Guangxi. Actively serving the "Belt and Road" initiative, the college has led the establishment of the China-ASEAN Energy Vocational Education Alliance, built 6 overseas education projects and bases, and trained nearly 5,000 technical talents from ASEAN countries.
