广西职业技术学院前身是创建于1965年的广西劳动大学，先后历经广西农学院热带作物分院（本科）、广西农垦职工大学、广西农工商职业大学等历史阶段，1998年经教育部批准成为广西首批独立改制的公办高等职业院校。学校地处南宁市空港经济区，占地面积1100多亩，现有全日制在校生21000余人，其中来自泰国、越南、老挝等9个国家的留学生130余人，是国家优质高职院校、中国特色高水平高职学校和专业建设计划高水平专业群建设单位。

Guangxi Vocational and Technical College originated from Guangxi Labor University founded in 1965, and has successively gone through historical stages such as the Tropical Crops Branch of Guangxi Agricultural College (undergraduate), Guangxi Agricultural Reclamation Workers' University, and Guangxi Agricultural and Industrial Commercial Vocational University. In 1998, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to become one of the first public higher vocational colleges independently restructured in Guangxi. Located in the Nanning Airport Economic Zone, the college covers an area of more than 1,100 mu and currently has over 21,000 full-time students, including more than 130 international students from 9 countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos. It is a national high-quality vocational college and a construction unit for high-level professional groups under the "China特色高水平高职学校和专业建设计划".

学校秉承“以德立人、以技立业”的校训，形成了以农类专业为特色，装备制造、电子信息、财经、文化艺术等多学科协调发展的专业体系，开设53个紧贴区域经济发展的招生专业。拥有国家级职业教育实训基地3个、中央财政支持提升专业服务产业发展能力项目2个，获国家级教学成果奖二等奖1项、自治区级教学成果奖19项，累计为社会培养各类人才7万多名，连续15年荣获全区高校毕业生就业工作先进集体。

Adhering to the school motto of "Establishing People with Virtue, Achieving Careers with Skills", the college has formed a professional system with agricultural majors as its特色, coordinated development of multiple disciplines such as equipment manufacturing, electronic information, finance and economics, and culture and art, offering 53 enrollment majors closely aligned with regional economic development. It has 3 national-level vocational education training bases, 2 projects supported by the central finance to enhance professional service industry development capabilities, 1 second prize of national teaching achievement award, and 19 autonomous region-level teaching achievement awards. It has cultivated more than 70,000 various talents for the society and has been awarded the Advanced Collective for Graduate Employment Work in Colleges and Universities in the region for 15 consecutive years.
