河北公安警察职业学院是河北省公安厅主管、河北省教育厅业务指导的全省唯一一所全日制公安高等院校，是全省公安队伍警力补充的主渠道，加挂河北省公安民警训练基地、河北省“一带一路”建设境外安保培训基地牌子，承担全省公安专业人才培养、在职民警培训、警务理论与实践创新研究重要职责。学院前身为1949年8月成立的河北省人民政府公安厅公安学校，历经多次更名与发展，2003年4月正式更名为河北公安警察职业学院，逐步实现了从在职培训到学历教育、从封闭办学到开放合作、从单一专业到多元学科的跨越式发展。

Hebei Public Security Police Vocational College is the only full-time public security higher education institution in Hebei Province under the administration of the Hebei Provincial Public Security Department and under the professional guidance of the Hebei Provincial Department of Education. It serves as the main channel for supplementing the police force in the province and also functions as the Hebei Provincial Public Security Police Training Base and the Hebei Provincial "Belt and Road" Construction Overseas Security Training Base. The college undertakes important responsibilities such as cultivating public security professionals, training in-service police officers, and conducting research on policing theory and practical innovation. Its predecessor was the Public Security School of the Public Security Department of the People's Government of Hebei Province, established in August 1949. After several name changes and development stages, it was officially renamed Hebei Public Security Police Vocational College in April 2003, gradually achieving leapfrog development from in-service training to academic education, from closed-door schooling to open cooperation, and from a single major to multiple disciplines.

学院坚持以习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想为指导，秉承“忠诚、为民、尚法、笃行”校训精神，坚持立德树人、育警铸魂办学方针，构建了教学研练战一体化人才培养模式。现设有治安管理、刑事侦查、网络安全与执法等8个国控公安专业，其中刑事侦查、治安管理专业被教育部确定为骨干专业。学院拥有一支高素质师资队伍，高级职称教师占比48.2%，双师型教师占比57.6%，并建有现代化教学训练设施，包括综合训练馆、警用射击场、模拟派出所等实验实训场所，为培养高素质应用型公安人才提供有力保障。建校以来，学院为全省公安机关培养民警2.6万余人，培训在职民警8.3万余人次，毕业生占全省各级公安机关警力补充总量的60%以上，为维护国家安全和社会稳定作出了突出贡献。

Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the college upholds the school motto of "Loyalty, Service to the People, Respect for Law, and Diligence in Action" and adheres to the educational philosophy of fostering virtue through education and shaping the soul of police officers. It has established an integrated talent cultivation model combining teaching, research, training, and combat practice. Currently, the college offers 8 state-controlled public security majors, including Public Security Administration and Criminal Investigation, with the latter two recognized as key majors by the Ministry of Education. The college boasts a high-quality teaching faculty, with 48.2% of teachers holding senior professional titles and 57.6% being dual-qualified teachers. It has also built modern teaching and training facilities, such as comprehensive training halls, police shooting ranges, and simulated police stations, providing strong support for cultivating high-quality applied public security talents. Since its establishment, the college has trained over 26,000 police officers for public security organs in the province and provided training for more than 83,000 in-service police officers. Graduates account for over 60% of the total警力补充 in public security organs at all levels in the province, making outstanding contributions to safeguarding national security and social stability.
