惠州工程职业学院是2017年3月经广东省政府批准成立的公办全日制普通高等院校，办学历史可追溯至1948年创办的惠阳平潭农校，是东江流域办学历史最悠久的职业院校之一。学校位于粤港澳大湾区重要节点城市——惠州，坐落于风景秀丽的汤泉片区，校园依山傍水，园林交辉，享有“学在花园里，校在山水间”的美誉。

Huizhou Engineering Vocational College is a public full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by the Guangdong Provincial Government in March 2017. Its educational history dates back to Huiyang Pingtan Agricultural School founded in 1948, making it one of the vocational colleges with the longest history in the Dongjiang River basin. Located in Huizhou, a key node city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the school is situated in the scenic Tangquan area with a campus surrounded by mountains and water, and gardens, enjoying the reputation of "studying in a garden, campus between mountains and rivers".

学校以理工科为特色，设有智能工程学院、机电工程学院、信息工程学院等7个二级教学机构，开设电气自动化技术、无人机应用技术、大数据技术等28个专业，形成“农业有特色、工科有优势、商科有精品”的办学格局。拥有应用电子技术和商务数据分析与应用2个省级高水平高职专业群，现有在校生14494人，教授、副教授百余人，博士生及研究生200多名。

With science and engineering as its characteristics, the college has 7 secondary teaching institutions including the School of Intelligent Engineering, School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and School of Information Engineering. It offers 28 majors such as Electrical Automation Technology, UAV Application Technology, and Big Data Technology, forming a school-running pattern of "distinctive agriculture, advantageous engineering, and high-quality business". It has 2 provincial-level high-level vocational professional groups in Applied Electronic Technology and Business Data Analysis and Application, with 14,494 students, over 100 professors and associate professors, and more than 200 doctoral and postgraduate students.
