泸州职业技术学院的前身是1901年成立的川南经纬学堂，是川南第一所新学。朱德与恽代英曾先后担任校长，传播革命火种。2002年，由四川省泸州师范学校、泸州教育学院、四川省水利机电学校合并组建为泸州职业技术学院。学校入选国家第二期“双高计划”高水平专业群建设单位，获评四川省“双高”院校B档、本科层次职教人才培养试点校等多项荣誉。

Luzhou Vocational and Technical College traces its roots to Chuannan Jingwei School founded in 1901, the first modern school in southern Sichuan. Zhu De and Yun Daiying once served as principals, spreading revolutionary ideals. In 2002, it was established through the merger of Luzhou Normal School, Luzhou Education College, and Sichuan Water Conservancy and Electromechanical School. The college is listed in the second phase of China's "Double High-Level Plan" for high-level professional group construction and has been awarded Sichuan Provincial "Double High-Level" College (Grade B) and Pilot Institution for Vocational Undergraduate Talent Cultivation.

学校坐落于长江之滨、沱江之畔，占地1504亩，拥有纸质图书114万余册，数字资源量487万余册。校内建有中央财政支持实训基地2个、国家级生产性实训基地1个，以及诺博幼儿园、首旅建国饭店等生产性实训基地，为师生提供一流的教学和生活保障。现有国际系统与控制科学院院士1人，国务院政府特殊津贴专家2人，全国模范教师等3人，省级学术和技术带头人后备人选等11人，兼职教师439人。

Located along the Yangtze and Tuo Rivers, the college covers 1,504 mu (100 hectares) with over 1.14 million paper books and 4.87 million digital resources. It houses 2 central finance-supported training bases, 1 national productive training base, and on-campus productive training facilities including Norbo Kindergarten and BTG Jianguo Hotel, providing top-tier teaching and living amenities. The faculty includes 1 academician of the International Academy of Systems and Control Sciences, 2 experts with State Council Special Allowances, 3 national model teachers, 11 provincial academic leaders, and 439 part-time teachers.

学校主动对接成渝地区双城经济圈建设，围绕白酒、电子信息、装备制造等产业，打造酿酒技术、工业机器人技术等专业群。深化产教融合，与华为、泸州老窖等龙头企业合作，推进“1+1+1”办学改革（一个专业对接一个大型企业、依托一个本科院校或科研院所），培养适应区域经济发展的高素质技术技能人才。

Aligning with the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle development, the college has built professional groups in liquor-making technology and industrial robotics to serve industries like Baijiu production, electronics, and equipment manufacturing. It promotes industry-education integration through partnerships with leading enterprises such as Huawei and Luzhou Laojiao, implementing the "1+1+1" educational reform (one major linked to one large enterprise and one university/research institute) to cultivate high-quality technical talents for regional economic development.
