Tallinn University, established in 2005 and located in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, is one of the largest institutions of higher education in the country and the third-largest public university. As a comprehensive university, it combines Estonia's longest-standing tradition of teacher training with the most modern film and media school in the Baltic region, featuring interdisciplinary education that requires each student to participate in at least one interdisciplinary project during their studies.

The university is a member of international organizations such as the European University Association (EUA) and the Network of European Capital Universities (UNICA), actively promoting internationalization. Currently, it has approximately 7,100 students, with international students accounting for 11% of the total, and 1 out of every 13 academic staff members having a foreign background. In the academic field, Tallinn University's sociology research ranked among the top 5% globally in the 2021 QS World University Rankings. It also aims to be a green university, joining the Green Academic Footprint initiative of the Network of European Capital Universities to integrate sustainable development principles into campus life.
